what i'm wearing: military style dress* Alice&You from Stylist Pick // shoes Kurt Geiger (old) // bag Chanel // sunglasses New Look // necklace* Lidl // watch Michael Kors

If you're a regular reader of my little fashion blog, you'll see that over the past couple of weeks there have been quite a few posts featuring khaki pieces - it's a hit SS15 trend, and I have fallen in love. I love the colour because it goes with so much and looks great with fair as well as darker skin tones - it's just so versatile.

This dress was kindly sent to me by StylistPick, a fantastic online fashion boutique who stock brands such as Alice&You, Red or Dead, Izabel London, Sugarhill Boutique and many more. I absolutely love the fit and the length of the dress, it's short without being uncomfortable which is something I have recently struggled with in clothing - if it's short, it's tight and rides up, a general nightmare to wear. However, this khaki dress by Alice&You is a loose fit and looks great on - perfect for summer!
I also love the nod to military style in the form of a sharp collar, it looks great with a statement necklaces which brings attention to the area. The whole top half of the dress reminds me of a military shirt with a pocket, collar and square short sleeves.

Not only does this dress look amazing with heels, but also with sandals and a messy topknot for a day of casual shopping or lazing around in the sun. This khaki dress is one of my favourite wardrobe pieces for SS15!
