A friend of mine told me about Burger and Lobster, and I couldn't believe I haven't heard of it before because it is my idea of heaven: I love burgers and I love seafood, and really you can't get much better than a freshly cooked lobster! The idea is so simple: there are only three things on the menu - a burger, a lobster or a lobster roll, all come with an accompaniment of chips and salad, and all of them cost £20. We wanted to taste it all so lucky for us, Burger and Lobster do a deal which is a burger each, a lobster to share and a dessert each - all for £60 which, once you see how much food comes out, is a bargain.
I love the little bib you get too - so handy! I was wearing white jeans the day we visited Burger and Lobster so had my bib to protect my top and napkins all over my lap because it gets the best kind of messy.
Readers, meet the burger. This burger is literally the best burger I have ever had in my life, and I am not ashamed to say I have eaten a lot of burgers. It's so juicy and delicious, packed with bacon, cheese, tomato and salad with the most yummy dressing - and best of all, it is cooked to perfection - pink in the middle, just how good meat is supposed to be. Of course, you get asked how you want your burger so if you're not keen on pink meat, you can request for it to be well done.
Now lets move on the lobster - perfection. Heaven. Food porn at its best. The lobster is absolutely delicious and so tender, it also comes with a butter sauce which is incredible on its own - I used it to pour over the lobster and then dunk my chips in. The lobster is easy to eat, so don't worry about getting it to open - just break it apart and pull out the meat. It's a meal where you really get involved with your food (hence the bib for helping you keep food off your clothes) and you can take your time indulging in the meal.
This was a feast, and not much of it was left at the end of our meal because it was truly one of the best meals I have ever eaten - I can't fault one element of it. And when you think about the price of the meal, with all the quantity and the quality of the food it's actually a bargain.
The desserts are a cheesecake and chocolate and vanilla ice-cream which may not look like much but are equally as delicious. I loved finding chocolate ripple pieces at the bottom of the chocolate ice-cream, which added a little crunch to the end of the meal!
Overall, I will not lie to you - you HAVE to visit Burger an Lobster if you a) like burgers, b) like seafood c) love food. Next time I'm in London, this is the first place I'll go for some food! And to end this delicious review, here's a picture of Liam at the end of his battle with the scrumptious meal!
Jeez - this place looks wondeful! I'm popping down to London next month and I'm keeping this spot in mind for sure.

Everything looks so delicious! I'd love to taste lobster some day. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is fantastic - definitely try lobster there! The first time I have ever tried it was on the Black Sea coast and I cut my hand trying to get the lobster out of its shell (I was like 8), so my mum had to ask for a shot of vodka to dip my finger in (to disinfect my cut just in case!)

I've heard of Burger & Lobster, but I've never been - it looks so good! It's good to know that you can get burger AND lobster because at one point I heard you had to choose either or? And seeing as I've never tried lobster before, it'll be nice to try it! x

Ah you have to try both! Their lobster is amazing, but their burger is just to die for! You'll have to let me know what you thought once you've been :)
