Nature's Plus Green Lightning Food Supplement Review

Nature's Plus Green Lightning energy drink mix review.

Let's face it, everyone is on the lookout for the next miracle healthy food supplement which will help our skin glow, our body feel more energised and cleansed. I was very pleased to have the opportunity to try Nature's Plus Green Lightning, a power packed high energy whole food concentrate - a powder consisting of over 50 fruits, vegetables and green foods.
Now as most of my readers will know, I'm forever trying the next detox or food fad which will help me with clearing my skin and cleansing my body. I drink at least 2 litres of water a day, try to stay away from sugar (although salt is my downfall) and eat foods that are known to be good for helping problem skin. I love juices and smoothies which is why I thought I'll really get on with this drink mix.

I decided that I would try my first sachet mixed with just water to see what it really tasted like. You mix a sachet with half a glass of water and drink. My first taste and smell was seaweed, not that it was a bad thing because I quite like eating seaweed but it does hit you quite hard. I have to admit it wasn't the most pleasant of drinks to sip on its own, so I decided the next day I will try and mix it with something. By the end of the glass I actually got used to the taste so you could probably just bear it until you get used to it.

The next day I mixed the powder sachet in a smoothie of kale, blueberries and strawberries - and it was delicious! I love kale and blueberry based smoothies, they are my favourite so it was really easy and pleasant to drink the concoction. You can also sprinkle the powder on salads and eat it that way which may be easier for people who are only just getting into the healthier way of lifestyle and aren't used to smoothies or drinks that resemble pond water.

I tried three sachets on consecutive days, and I don't know whether it's the drink or the fact that I've recently switched moisturisers but I have been more confident about wearing less makeup and even went to the shop with nothing but my untinted moisturiser (which for me is a big deal). I wouldn't say I'm feeling more energised, but maybe that's something that will come with drinking more of the powder, but it does help your mind feel more healthy and feel like you're on the road to a better lifestyle.
