Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream review
I have wanted to try the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating day cream for absolute ages now, but like with a lot of products which are hyped up, cost a lot and come in little jars I was very sceptical. The cream costs around £27 (depending on where you get it from, it could be more or less) and comes in a 60ml jar so I do see it as an investment cream as usually my skincare products cost me around £10-£15. I haven't tried anything from Antipodes before either, so I wasn't sure how my skin was going to get on with it - but I decided to give it a go and treat myself.
The cream has plenty of exciting and just plain good for you ingredients: 100% pure avocado oil, macadamia nut, manuka honey and kawakawa, with fragrance notes of vanilla and citrus. Avocado pear contains Vitamins A, B, C, E ad well as chlorophyll and Omegas 3, 6 and 9 which are all incredibly good for you.
Manuka honey has been used for centuries by Maori women to soother and nourish skin and generally manuka honey is considered to be an amazing antioxidant.
The cream is rich and thick, but glides very easily onto the skin and provides intense moisture. It made my skin feel nourished and the scent was just amazing. I have been using the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating day cream for about two weeks now and my skin feels amazing - it's been clearing up, and looks less patchy as well as feeling hydrated and revived.
I give this moisturiser 10/10, I'm absolutely in love with it and I have actually now ordered more Antipodes products following how much I loved this cream.
