what i'm wearing: Primark dress, tights and necklace // JustFab boots*

Yesterday I spent most of my day at Festival Place in Basingstoke doing my Christmas shopping. I popped into Primark for some stocking fillers and naturally just had to have a quick look at what's about. I found this cute tartan dress which I have been in love with for weeks but couldn't find in in a store near me - so I decided to treat myself and buy it as there were only two left on the shelf.
The dress is originally £10 but when I got to the till it showed up as £5 - amazing! Now I don't even feel bad about spending some money on myself when I'm supposed to be Christmas shopping for everyones presents :)

I think that tartan dresses are so adorable to wear around Christmas - I remember I had one I used to wear on Christmas when we lived in Denmark (I was a very adorable child, makes me wonder what happened in the process of growing up!). Tartan mini dresses are so easy to wear: I love mine with a pair of black opaque tights, ankle boots and minimal jewellery as I don't want the look to feel like it's "too much" with pattern and accessories.

So if you like this dress rush down to Primark to grab yours for a bargain £5! They have other colours too!
