Valentines Day is quickly creeping up and I wanted to share a very special post with you: my guide to the perfect gifts for foodies. So if you're girlfriend is a chocolate fiend, or your boyfriend can't resist a bit of spice, read on to find what you can buy them and fill their bellies with love!
For the romantic chocolate fiend
Lindt and Lindor chocolates selection*, available at most supermarkets
I was over the moon when a box full of chocolates arrived on my doorstep - it was like opening a little boxed up heaven! Lindt chocolates are my favourite - with a huge variety of flavours to choose from, they are a clear leader. I love how smooth and creamy the chocolates are - and I absolutely love the heart shaped tin with little diamonds, it's so pretty and the perfect chocolate gift box for Valentines Day! The Lindor chocolate heart box has a little surprise inside - among the balls of milk chocolate there is a heart shaped chocolate which I thought was really cute (and tasty!).
There are times when I wish I could pass a taste on to you because I can't even begin to describe how delicious the Lindor Strawberries and Cream chocolates are. White chocolate, strawberry mouse...it's just heavenly. This is the perfect gift for someone who likes fruity and sweet desserts - it is also a limited edition box so make sure you grab one to try!
For someone hot and spicy
Spice Kitchen 10 Indian Spices kit*
I am so happy to have discovered Spice Kitchen - this is an artisan company who produce homemade spices in Birmingham, and do the most fantastic job. They kindly offered me to review some of their spices for this gift guide post and I was so excited to try them because I love spices and I also love homemade curries so this is perfect for me. I received this kit which consists of Cardamon, Cloves, Cinnamon Sticks, Kashmiri Chilli Powder, Cumin Seeds, Ground Coriander, Spice Kitchen Garam Masala (I'm so excited about this!), Mustard Seeds, Turmeric Powder, Home Grown Curry leaves. The spices come in a cute homemade silk bag - when I opened the bag, the scent of the spices was just stunning. When products are made at home, with love and care it makes such a huge difference because they taste delicious. Sanjay and Shashi, who run the company, are so lovely and their passion shows through their incredible spices - I am converted to the Spice Kitchen as my number one shop for spices!
I think this kit is the perfect gift for your SO, and also for you! Curry date night, anyone?
For those who eat with their eyes
Framed chilli print* from Easy Art
Art + food = YES. I love art prints almost as much as I love food, which makes this amazing chilli print from Easy Art an absolute winner in my eyes. Me and Liam both love chillies so this was the perfect addition to our kitchen wall - all of the chillies right in front of our eyes!
Easy Arts frames are bespoke and handmade in England - something very special about a local service. The print arrived perfectly packaged, the service is excellent from beginning to end. I already have my eye on a few more prints from Easy Art to fill our walls!
For the gourmet relish connoisseur
Sussex Valley mayonnaise selection*, Victoria Amory sherry ketchup* all from HomeSense, Chillililli from Newlyns Farm Shop (Weyhill, Hampshire)
Liam found the Chillililli at our local farm shop, Newlyns in Weyhill, and this is the cutest gift idea for a countryside foodie. It's like piccalilli but spicy, with crunchy vegetables and an exquisite taste. It also comes in a really cute jar - place a bow on the top and present to your beloved along with a bouquet of posies!
Those little Lindt heart shaped chocolates are so cute! x
