A couple of weeks ago, one of my dear clients celebrated their official opening - The Owl & The Pussycat boutique in Stockbridge welcomed everyone with a celebratory discount and a glass of fizz to celebrate the completion of the shop, show off new exciting stock, and give local press & shoppers the opportunity to get some one on one time with both of the new owners, who are local family businesswomen.
The Owl & The Pussycat has a long standing heritage in Stockbridge, Hampshire - the shop is well recognised as a gift and children's clothing boutique and a go to place when you want to buy your loved one something special, but have no idea what. Recently taken over by Tiggy and her mother Judie, The Owl & The Pussycat has had a complete makeover - from the appearance of the shop to the stock they have bought, The Owl & The Pussycat certainly has grabbed the attention of shoppers - nominated as a finalist in the Muddy Stiletto's Awards within 3 months of opening again!
Owner of The Owl & The Pussycat Tiggy Bradshaw says:
"Stockbridge has always had a special place in my heart. I grew up here and, as a Marsh Court school girl, spent many happy years living and playing in the town. I’ve long since dreamed of having a shop on the High Street and, like many others, I’ve always loved ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’. Through the years it’s become my ‘go-to’ for new born gifts especially, but for gifts and cards for all the family too. I feel blessed that this special shop is now a new member of our family and my wonderful mother Judie and I intend to love and nurture it as one of our own."
I have worked with Tiggy on branding and digital marketing for over 2 years and was so excited to hear about her new venture with The Owl & The Pussycat - from my point of view, what can be more exciting than seeing new jewellery (because I'm a massive magpie) and writing about exciting fashion stock which screams of Spanish summer evenings!
Tiggy and Judie have an amazing eye for items - every time I go into the shop, my Wishlist grows longer. Looking at ethical brands, local businesses, and all time family favourites like Jellycat toys the shop has grown to cater for all ages and all members of the family - it even has a men's corner which is growing day by day.
My favourite pieces though have to be the jewellery and the fashion - I have discovered some amazing brands like Bcharmd who are my absolute favourite: they produce delicate pieces with crystals and stones; and Miss June who are a French fashion brand selling items which give me all the Mediterranean vibes.
Tiggy says:
"We want to keep many of the traditions of the shop whilst combining a fresh, new twist as well. Deliveries are turning up daily with the most beautiful baby and children’s clothes, toys and gifts and a menagerie of Jelly Cats now adorn the shelves! The shop smells amazing too as our new range of candles and room diffusers has arrived to enhance our selection of gifts and, together with beautiful and unique cards and wrap, you’ll be able to find the perfect gift for any birthday, Valentine or Mother’s Day."

The shop has been amazing for gifts - whoever I get stuck on ideas for presents, I pop to The Owl & The Pussycat in Stockbridge and always find the perfect present whether it's for my mum or my best friend. Price points vary - you can spend £10 on a nice present; or splash out £100+ on something for a truly special occasion (or to treat yourself!).
The Owl & The Pussycat stocks the most adorable items for boys and girls from 0-12yrs - it's perfect for young mums and their kids to come in and try on outfits, as well as pick up a little treat for being good in the shop!
Of course another big bonus of shopping at The Owl & The Pussycat is that you're supporting small local businesses. Tiggy & Judie say:
"We have much love and respect for Stockbridge and can’t wait to become a part of the retail community and work with the other retailers to continue to make Stockbridge a wonderful location for people to visit. Since I have become a small business, I appreciate and support the local businesses around me. And with so many here in Hampshire, you have all you need when it comes to local shopping: clothes, jewellery, food, accessories... It would be a shame not to use it all!

It's such an exciting time for the shop - the stock is growing and expanding day by day, and more shoppers are popping in to say hello! The Owl & The Pussycat has definitely become a key player on the Stockbridge High Street and I cannot wait to see how it keeps growing and blooming.
