I was recently contacted by Jord - a brand which produces wooden fashion watches - to work on a collaboration together. I have seen watched made from wood on Instagram and in some magazines before and they always looked so good, which made me very excited to style this piece. I chose the Ely design in Maple as I love the look of light wood and Ely is a very feminine and classic design.
Jord wood watches are actually splash proof which is great because I was worried about how my watch will behave in the rain, but are not designed to be submerged in water so be careful about sticking your hands into bodies of water with the watch. Also, because the watches are authentic and made from real wood the colour may vary depending on the tree. There is also a feature on the website which allows you to measure your wrist and ensure the watch fits you perfectly, which mine did.
Jord is an American brand, however they do ship worldwide so anyone can order a beautiful statement watch.

 

I wear this watch pretty much everyday because I love the subtle look and I need to have a watch on my wrist for time keeping, and today I styled it with a day to day summer outfit. A gingham shirt and a subtle crochet white skirt is an easy to wear combo, and the classic wood watch adds a bit of a laid back vibe. Although it is a classic style, I can see a lot of active people wearing this watch because it's so lightweight sometimes I forget it's on my wrist!
I also love wearing my watch with a skater dress and boots for a casual look, or with a white blazer and pencil dress for meetings, it's just so versatile! I'm looking forward to expanding my watch collection which is currently just three pieces from fab brands, and Jord is a name and style I am very excited to own.
