Shearling Comfort

Shearling gilet stolen from my mum but you can find similar here// old dress Topshop// shoes New Look// boot socks from a market// watch Urban Outfitters

I'm getting really into my shearling gilets at the moment, I love this one I stole from my mum a couple of years ago (well technically she didn't like it anymore so I adopted it really...) and it's so nice and warm! I think it looks great with a folk style dress, makes me think of autumn at Little House on the Prairie... :) I paired this with faux shearling boots I got from New Look a couple of years ago (I recycle clothes and shoes I love for AGES) and although they may look it, they're not the comfiest of shoes. But they did survive a 30 minute trek into the town where I work so I guess they get my walking seal of approval.
Halloween weekend is quickly creeping up, I'm so excited to host this years Halloween party for my friends even though I'm already slightly stressing out about the mess which will be created in our house. And my little fluff ball has to go and stay with my ma as I know he will get stressed out seeing so many people in scary outfits!
Last night I sat for hours and stitched parts of my outfit together and I'm in NO WAY a seamstress or a talented sower to it was hilarious to watch how uneven it kept coming out! I still need to go and pick up some things this lunchtime to hopefully complete the outfit, ooooooh!
PS Sinister was a great film, except for the ending. It really didn't go out with a bang! Thank you for all your horror movie suggestions, this week I will be OD-ing on films like Paranormal Activity, An American Werewolf in London and all the countless exorcist movies!

What is everyone doing this Halloween? Have you picked an outfit yet? If so, what is it?
