April Lush Haul

April Lush Haul, Lush skincare review
A couple of days ago, I got my hands on some Lush goodies which I had to share with you. I dragged my mum into our local Lush store - she has always been opposed to visiting the shop as it always smells too strong for her when we walk past it, but she decided to give it a go and I'm so happy she did because she fell in love with the products.
So many bloggers use and write about Lush products, and I love reading Lush reviews because it gives me ideas on what I want to try next and what's coming to stores for seasonal specials. So I decided to share with you my April Lush favourites and hope you will be inspired to pick up a couple of bath bombs or try the Lush skincare products.

Golden Egg bath bomb (Easter Special) // Space Girl bath bomb £2.35

I have seen some reviews of the Golden Egg bath bomb and I really wanted to try it because it sounded awesome with all the glitter and sparkles packed inside the product. This is the first bath bomb I tried from this haul, and it didn't disappoint. The water was turned a beautiful gold colour with lots of glitter (if you don't like glitter, don't get this bath bomb because the glitter gets everywhere and stays on your skin after the bath) and it smelt of gorgeous honey and toffee. The smell was strong which is a huge bonus because I hate it when the scent disappears after a minute of soaking.
Space Girl bath bomb was so cute and intriguing that I just had to try it. The bath bomb is filled with space dust (popping candy) so it fizzes around and makes a crackling noise once you drop it into the water. The bath bomb has uplifting fragrances of grapefruit and bergamot oil, and has essential almond oil to nourish the skin.

Amandopondo bubble bar £2.75 // Creamy Candy bubble bar £2.75

As far as pretty bath bombs go, you can't get much prettier than Amandopondo which has a small dry rose as a decoration. It's an uplifting and romantic bath bomb which uses rose absolute from the Damask rose - it gives you a feeling of well-being and smells delicious. The bath bomb also has lemon and sweet orange oils which are known for heightening the mood and chasing away the blues.
I smelt Creamy Candy in the store and just had to buy it. In fact, I had to stop myself from buying two! The bubble bar smells like sweets and candy, and has a blend of almond and cocoa butter to help your skin feel smooth and nourished. I loved using this bubble bar because my bathroom smelt gorgeous and I could really feel the benefits of the essential oils on my skin.

Ocean Salt self preserving face and body scrub £7.75 // Herbalism fresh cleanser £6.75

I started using Lush products as an essential part of my skincare routine a couple of years ago and I recommend them to anyone. I have problem skin so I'm really careful with what I use, but I love the fact that Lush uses natural ingredients which have never given me a bad reaction.
Ocean Salt is a new one for me - it's a face and body scrub made from sea salt which is rich in minerals and is perfect for scrubbing away dead skin. The other ingredients include: avocado butter, coconut oil and seaweed which keep skin soft, nourished and moisturised; fresh organic limes steeped in vodka and grapefruit which act as an anti inflammatory agents. I love using this scrub and I probably use it twice a week to keep my skin clear and refreshed. It smells good and does good - massive thumbs up!
Herbalism in an old favourite of mine (you can read a review I wrote on it when I first started using it here). The ingredients include ground almonds which exfoliate the skin, nettle, rosemary, rice vinegar extract, rice bran, gardenia extract, rose absolute and chamomile blue oil - which are all renowned to be great fro problem skin. I have been using this scrub every day and it really helps my skin look clear - I would definitely recommend it to anyone who suffers with spots, blackheads or even if your skin is clear, this is a great natural way to keep it like that!

  2. Amazing choices! I haven't had a Creamy Candy in ages and your description reminded me just how much I loved it! Have you tried the original Ocean Salt? Tbh I'm not a huge fan of the new self preserving version, it feels somewhat less scrubby.

    1. I haven't tried the original Ocean Salt but I love this one so much that it's a staple of my facial cleansing routine, so next time I'll give the original version a go too!

    1. Oh no - how come? Is it ALL the glitter? :) I did have to clean my bathtub after using it as it was all gold and shiny!
