Variety of Workforce knitted socks*
Living in the heart of beautiful Hampshire, we try to make the most of the countryside by going for a really long walk on Sundays. Harvey loves exploring new forests and we do too - never mind the weather! Today the weather wasn't on our side and it was really windy and wet, but we still had fun jumping around in puddles and working up an appetite for our Sunday roast.
I was also excited to try my new selection of Workforce socks and see how they measure up when it's cold and wet outside. The Workforce range is designed for those who require socks that are "as tough as their working environment" and need a practical solution that doesn't compromise on style and comfort. The styles of socks have a combination of specially selected advanced fibres, technical knitted features and design techniques that all work together. The wide selection of socks includes general purpose boot socks, Wellington boot socks and socks especially designed for those whose work requires heavy duty footwear (the range you see above is the new, trendier version of the sturdy socks).
I love cosy, thick knitted socks because if my feet and head are warm my whole body is warm - especially if I'm mooching around in the house of spending time outdoors. Liam and I both trialled out the socks as they're unisex and I chose a pair of socks to wear with wellies whilst Liam chose a pair to go with his hiking boots. My feet were cosy and warm all day, and the socks didn't slip and slide around like some do. I then got changed into another pair when we got home and settled down with a cup of tea before we had a scrumptious chicken roast.
Cosy Sundays have become a little tradition in our house and we enjoy the action packed morning followed by a chilled out afternoon - and of course lots of warm, filling foods!
How do yo spend your Sundays? Do you have something you have to do to complete the week?
I'm in Hampshire too, there's some lovely woods and beaches to walk around here. I wrote a post about a really good dog walking beach, it was lovely to see the dogs running in the sea: http://www.hellodeborah.co.uk/discovering-hengistbury-head/ Harvey is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThose socks look so snuggly under wellies or tucked into boots. We usually spend Sundays out in the morning then cooking and relaxing in the afternoon. I like going to the local garden centre or pet store for a wander round.
